Job Title:  Sales Infrastructure Specialist

Reporting to:  Managing Director

Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours)

 We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Sales Infrastructure Specialist who proactively takes responsibility and embraces change. With a think outside the box mentality and the ability to work to deadlines. Who possesses a wealth of experience in project management, complex IT user application systems, with a degree or equivalent in IT or applied computer science. Whom prides themselves on being reliable, empathetic and appreciative. With great attention to detail and the ability to work in-dependently and equally as part of team. Someone that is highly self-motivated, ambitious and challenges processes.

The Role:

  • Is based at our Milton Keynes office, however may require travel throughout the EU from time to time, thus there may be a need for overnight stays on occasion.
  • Report writing for the Managing Director; Departmental SW: R12, Price Impact etc.
  • Support and development of internal systems and technologies
    - Starlab Systems in E-Business environment
    - Implementing and support of Procurement Platforms like Ariba, Mercateo via cXML, EDI, OCI etc.
  • Intermediary contact between Customers, Management, Sales, Marketing, Technicians and IT
  • Specialist, highly-organised and quality-assured co-ordination and development of the Structure Project in eCommerce.
  • Managing of the public product range and product data
  • Dedicated and continual improvement to user-friendliness
  • Defining of system requirements and programming specifications as part of the ongoing development of eBusiness systems and implementation of the digital business strategies
  • E-Business coaching colleagues in other companies
  • First Line IT-support
  • Departmental KPI reporting

Must Have:

  • A degree or equivalent in IT or applied computer science or other relevant qualifications
  • 2 years minimum of experience in E-Business environment and exposure to complex IT-structures
  • Experience of project management in an internal business enterprise
  • Experience of complex IT-User Application systems
  • Intermediate/Advanced use and knowledge of ERP, CRM, CMS, PIM and eShop Systems
  • Intermediate/ Advanced use and knowledge of SAP
  • Additional IT-Support knowledge of PC infrastructure desirable
  • High level communication skills and report writing
  • Strong negotiation skills and assertiveness with the ability to deal with conflict

Job Title:  Service Team Leader

ISO 17025 accredited since 2010; we are known for delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service. We are the market leader of service and calibration within our field. 

We currently have an opportunity for a Service Team Leader to join STARLAB (UK) Ltd.; working closely with Senior Technicians to lead & motivate the servicing department. The department is made up of Administrators and Technicians both Lab and Field based. The successful candidate will report to our UK Service & Calibration Manager, providing essential support for fundamental tasks and projects. 

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual who proactively takes responsibility and embraces change. With a think outside the box mentality and the ability to work to deadlines. Who possesses strong people management skills of whom prides themselves on being reliable, empathetic and appreciative. An excellent communicator with customer service at the forefront of their mind. 

The Role:

  • Is primarily based at our Milton Keynes office, however requires approximately 40% travel throughout the UK, the need for overnight stays, and the understanding that on occasion contractual hours may need to be exceeded to ensure business needs are effectively met.
  • Manage and motivate technicians and administrators to perform against objectives and departmental/ company KPI’s, presenting monthly progress reports.
  • Represent STARLAB (UK) Ltd. in compliance with company procedures and policies, ensuring team members adherence.
  • To demonstrate a mature, considered approach to workplace issues and relationships.
  • Ensuring all risk assessments and method statements are in place where required.
  • Carrying out audits on a regular basis to ensure; efficiency, high level customer service, great standards of workmanship and professionalism are maintained. Making recommendations with the support of the Senior Technicians on training needs.
  • Responsible for overseeing, planning and organisation of resource to include developing and scheduling teams and aiding the work of technicians by region.
  • Reduce technician downtime and non-productivity, by increasing the first fix rate through training, knowledge and expertise.
  • Assist the company in achieving growth and profitability targets, through effective budget and cost management. Delivering against agreed financial targets including managing resource and cost budgets.
  • To ensure the department work to all SLA’s, following up accordingly when agreements are not met.
  • Work with the Sales Team and assist where necessary in Key Customer Visits / Review Meetings.
  • Assisting with workplace investigations with regards to disciplinary, grievance and capability issues. Chairing meetings where required, with a fair and impartial mindset.

Skills & Attributes

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience managing a large team.
  • The ability to learn and understand technical aspects of service & calibration.
  • IT literate with programs such as; Microsoft packages (Word/PowerPoint/excel).
  • A motivated self-starter, who can work autonomously without supervision.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven project management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage own workload, work efficiently, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • A critical thinker who is innovative and will take ownership of the service operation, problem solving proactively when faced with issues.
  • High levels of autonomy, accountability, and integrity.
  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 is an advantage.
