IF YOU WISH TO CONFORM TO ISO8655
If you wish to conform to one of the ISO8655 parts then the options are limited as these have specific requirements. For example, ISO8655-6 requires 10 readings at 3 volumes to conform, and ISO8655-7 requires 4 readings at 3 volumes to conform.
IF CONFORMITY TO IS08655 IS NOT REQUIRED
You can choose the number of readings per volume and the number of volumes you need. Our bespoke software enables us to adapt to meet your requirements, so if your procedures say 6 readings at 2 volumes then we can meet this requirement.
We also have the ability to adapt the specification and calibrate to either the manufacturer’s, ISO8655 or requirements specific to your institution. Just let us know exactly what you need, and we’ll give you a competitive quote.
There are positives and negatives associated with the selection of specifications, below are some areas to consider when deciding.
MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS
- The tightest specifictions available
- Possible increase inthe the number of "As Found" calibration failures
- Specifications differ from manufacturer to manufacturer
ISO8655 SPECIFICATIONS
- Large specification at the lower range
- Very large specifications for multi-channels
- Consistent, irrespective of the pipette's manufacturer
YOUR OWN (BESPOKE)
- Meets your specific requirements
- May require some kind of validation or justification to determine the spec.
- This cannot be tighter than the manufacturer's specifications
