As Found calibration.

As Found calibrations provide a check of the current performance of your pipette, enabling you to validate previous work. No adjustment or servicing is performed. As Found is purely a statement of how the instrument is performing.

All service levels include the following:

  • As-Found calibration carried out at manufacturer's, ISO8655 or your own specification (note your requirement on the Decontamination Declaration)
  • A Certificate of Calibration showing a pass or fail based on the target specification
  • Calibration Date Sticker to show the next calibration due date (if defined on the Decontamination Declaration)

Calibration is carried out with a specified number of readings taken at set volume points depending, on the service level chosen. Our service levels are as follows:

2-STAR

4 readings
at min & max
volumes

For multi-channels, TWO readings taken on EVERY CHANNEL at min & max volumes.

2-STAR PLUS

10 readings
at min & max
volumes

For multi-channels, TEN readings taken on EVERY CHANNEL at min & max volumes.

3-STAR1)

4 readings
at min, mid & max

Service & calibration.

With a Service & Calibration, adjustment and servicing is undertaken. The purpose is to confirm "as left" post-calibration accuracy. It does not determine if the pipette was providing correct measurements during its last period of use.

All service levels include the following:

  • Pipette dismantled, cleaned internally, inspected, leak tested and, if necessary, worn parts replaced
  • Pipette externally cleaned2) if requested on Decontamination Declaration and Purchase Order
  • Calibration carried out at manufacturer's, ISO8655 or your own specification (note your requirement on the Decontamination Declaration)
  • If necessary, your pipette will be adjusted to comply and recalibrated to meet the required specifications
  • Certification of Calibration showing the results and any spare parts fitted
  • Calibration Date Sticker to show the next calibration due date (if defined on the Decontamination Declaration)
