We are passionate for science and sustainability. #HighQualityProducts #ServiceExcellence #ValueForMoney. A string of buzzwords? The USPs, which flicker like superhero emoticons, are also often mentioned with pleasure. Especially in challenging socio-political times, we seem to be inundated with superlatives: Best-selling products, top solution providers and super-companies that are able to save. Yes, we are looking for an anchor, but who can we trust? What characterises a company – for its own employees and for its customers? Because one thing is probably becoming increasingly important: realness. At Starlab, we stand for authenticity and the resulting strength. And people play a key role in this. People who work at Starlab for our products in individual expression. And people in the laboratory who are fully dedicated to their science because our products make their everyday lives easier.

How do we live Passion? 

We have been supplying good quality products for over a quarter of a decade. However, in these times of change, we need a ‘difference’ and transformation. A rethink and perhaps even a contemplation to the essentials. Our claim is ‘Passionate for science.’ ‘Let's make it tangible/lively. Aliveness means progress,’ was our thought. 

In 2024, we further developed our style guide.

In this way, we strengthen our guiding principle ‘Passionate for science.’. It is more than just a claim, a guiding motive.

And what would our products be without the people who create and use them? What does our ‘Passionate for science.’ stand for? Passion is the tireless commitment to science, especially in moments of doubt. Passion is the driving force that motivates to keep going, to stay curious, to not give up. We show the true spirit of science and celebrate our customers for their passionate endeavours.

It's too a pity that the plea cannot be ‘pipetted’ into the ears of the target group on a daily basis, like a podcast voice. Like a piece of music that can directly infiltrate the soul and body and have a lasting cognitive effect. But we can create reality. Starlab shows its company face with a launch that conveys the message in a new and authentic way.

Among other things, we underpinned our marketing with image motifs that show the emotional connection between product and people. A depiction of teamwork with a new connotation. A new headline language picks up customers where their own needs lie. ‘Endless samples, but you keep pipetting. You are passionate for science.’ Short videos show the story of the scientists.

‘With our videos, we want to thank and inspire all scientists,’ explains Klaus Ambos, CEO & President of Starlab International GmbH. ‘The message ‘Keep going. You are passionate for science.' shows our appreciation of their tireless work. At Starlab, we understand what it takes to be successful in science – in addition to precision and expertise, above all passion.’

The enhanced look and feel revitalises the brand and speaks more directly to people. Because there is a story behind every product.

In many publications, Teunen talks about how beauty saves the world. He pointedly stands for the idea of the new office. What does it take to increase economic power? Culture.

Yes, because let's be honest: the needs and mindset of employees have changed – and not just since coronavirus. We want to feel well at work, be inspired, sometimes networked or even ‘cocooned’. We want a benefit for leaving our home or mobile office for the workplace in the company. A change in the working environment can unleash the potential of employees and release dopamine, the happiness hormone. This is reinforced by brain researcher Gerald Hüther's statement that the quality of a person's environment is the strongest motivating factor. The second strongest motivational driver is the quality of behaviour.

‘This transformation is a strong statement of our identity and values. At Starlab, science meets passion,’ says Klaus Ambos. ‘By integrating our colours and brand-specific elements, our look and feel becomes tangible. It shows our commitment and the spirit that drives it.’

The renovation allows us to experience our brand in the workspace. The environment reminds us of who we are and what we stand for. It creates an atmosphere where employees feel comfortable and, ideally, proud to be part of Starlab. It strengthens the connection between the team and our mission.
