Reducing impact.
Starlab has been thinking about sustainability for some time, with long-term corporate planning and durable products. We had already succeeded in saving plastic with the redesign of our TipOne® pipette tip system, but we did not stop there. Starlab is proud to be the first company to offer its customers a true, closed-loop recycling service where the recycled plastic is used to make more of the same product, thus reducing waste, reusing resources and saving emissions.
TipOne recycling service.
Starlab’s TipOne® Recycling Service is a closed-loop process that turns clean, uncontaminated TipOne® polypropylene (PP) packaging into high-quality recyclate, which is now being used at our German manufacturing site to make new TipOne® racks. This simple, free-of-charge collection service of TipOne® PP packaging for customers in England, Wales and Scotland helps to keep plastic in the production cycle for as long as possible, creating a genuine circular economy that reduces the need for virgin material.
