The TipOne® pipette tip system is designed for reuse and recycling. The durable racks can be reused with easy-to-use, sterile and non-sterile refill systems. 

All system components are made from recyclable polypropylene (PP), and to help labs reduce plastic waste, Starlab offers TipOne® customers a recycling collection service, where the PP will be recycled and reused to make more TipOne® racks. 

Two ways to limit plastic use in the lab is to reduce the amount of plastic coming into your lab in the first place, and to reuse wherever you can. With TipOne® refills, you do both!  

REDUCE plastic by using our refills (by up to 63% with the sterile refills, compared to the racked equivalent) and REUSE your TipOne® racks again and again.

What's more, the clear system components on all refills are made with 100% recycled plastic.

All TipOne® system components are made of polypropylene (PP) and can be recycled via our closed loop recycling service.

It's easy to use: collect the recycling, then go online to print a courier label and organise a collection, as and when needed. The PP will be recycled and reused to make more TipOne® products!

When it comes to lab waste, pipettes don't usually spring to mind, but pipette spares can contribute to an accumulation of plastic waste. Starlab's ErgoOne® pipettes have a greased system, which means they do not have the seal and o-ring parts that other manufacturers recommend changing annually on their pipettes. Stainless steel tip cones on the ErgoOne® micro models also help prevent accidental breakage of these delicate parts, thus limiting the waste associated with more frequent replacement.

Freezer racking helps optimise capacity by keeping freezers tidy and maximising storage space for efficient use.

Our high quality racking prevents the need for regular repair or exchange and is made with 85% recycled stainless steel. Also, the racks are manufactured in Germany, in a factory powered by 100% sustainable energy. 

Designed with the environment in mind! Innovative flat-pack design reduces package volume, providing a 50% saving on both space and shipping costs, compared to comparable competitor units. UV lamp lifespan of up to 9000 hours significantly reduces both the cost and waste associated with frequent replacement. Energy-saving LED lighting and the latest fan technology, means the GuardOne® Workstation has one of the lowest power consumptions available on the market.

More gloves per box! StarGuard® Comfort and StarGuard® Sensitive are supplied in boxes containing 250 and 200 gloves respectively, compared with 100 gloves in a standard pack.  

All StarGuard® gloves are made in factories carefully selected to ensure the production line is free from work abuse and unethical practices, and the manufacturing complies with the fundamental conventions of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).

Available in 5 L bottles, Chemgene concentrate makes 55 litres of 1:10 solution or 550 litres of 1:100 solution. Compared to buying the equivalent volume as a ready-to-use solution, buying concentrate reduces the amount of plastic being purchased. The 5 L HDPE containers are made with 35% post-consumer recycled HDPE and can be recycled in appropriate recycling streams after use.

Eliminate plastic wipes. Simply dilute 1 L of concentrate with tap water to make 10 L of disinfectant. Once diluted, use the disinfectant with any plastic-free or paper cloth. 

Designed for water baths, these thermally efficient pellets will reduce your water consumption and the risk of water-borne contamination.

Not only that, they also eliminate the tedious maintenance of emptying, cleaning and and refilling your water bath. Bath beads transfer both heat and cold with high efficiency.
